Curriculum
Age appropriate curriculum is provided for every age group, during the school year and summer. Infants use Active Learning for Infants Curriculum which includes numerous ideas for children with abilities up to 12 months of age. The activities include listening and talking, physical development, creative activities and activities for learning from the world around them. Educational programs are designed and administered by a certified center administrator and owners. Our focus is to prepare our kids for primary elementary schools in the Pearland School District. We consult the schools regularly to ensure our goals are met. Pre-K curriculum starts at 2 to 4 years classes with professional teachers with diverse certifications on pre-school education. Our Super K class is designed for a more structured environment much like the kids will see when they reach kindergarten. The after school program sets aside time for homework and studies, aided by adult supervision. Also, planned activities and "center" based curriculum is offered. Summer Camp programs follow specific, structured "capsules" of activities while the kids are out of school. Field trips are planned in conjunction with the theme for the week and are at no extra charge to the parents.
Security
The entire center is monitored 24 hours a day by a video surveillance system for parents peace of mind. Each classroom is equipped with a video camera monitored by staff members throughout the day. The entire center can be viewed with three-color monitors located in the front reception area.
The Facility
Your Kids'R'Kids #13TX of Silverlake is located on 1.8 acres with over 13,000 square feet of interior space and 10 classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The classrooms are divided with glass walls to create a spacious feeling for the children and enabling staff members better visibility and windows, lots of windows for added natural light in each nursery and classroom. Parents are encouraged to visit the center and view their child's classroom with monitors located in the reception area to allow parents and staff better visibility. You can now view your child's room from the comfort of your office or home PC, anytime during the day. Each parent will have his or her own pass code. Ask us about this exciting new feature. Dropping off and picking up is made easy with our "Kiss and Go" lane and covered entranceway. A 50 passenger and 20 passenger Blue Bird bus specially designed for the center provide transportation. Both buses are equipped with safety belts.
Classrooms
Children are grouped every 6 months to the age of five. Our Infant Suite is a twelve month room and School age children are grouped as 5 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years. Each classroom has its own restroom facilities, as well as "Potty Central" in the third nursery to facilitate potty training. The carpet is enzyme treated, and separate air conditioning and heating systems are utilized in the nurseries to reduce the possibility of airborne illnesses. Infant beds are equipped with clear acrylic and panels for higher visibility and mirrored panes so your child can wake to a "familiar" face.
Playgrounds
Five large, age appropriate playgrounds are provided with vinyl coated fencing for added safety. All playground equipment is suited to each age group. Playgrounds are large enough for a basketball court and soccer field capabilities. All play systems are mounted with 10 foot fall space area filled with the mulch materials for safety. Each classroom has its own exit to the playground.
"Boo-Boo" Room
If your child becomes ill, they can go to the "Boo-Boo" room, located right next to the reception area. A nice quiet place for when they "just don't feel good."
